Adelaide United have revealed their new home kit for the upcoming season, in partnership with their Global Technical Partner UCAN.
This season’s design returns to the all red kit, where the colours and patterns that decorate the fabric being designed and executed using computational technology.
The jersey also references South Australian flora and features a deeper red on the neckline and cuffs in order to accentuate the bold look.
A piping shrike appears on the back of the kit, serving as a reminder for Adelaide United fans of the foundation year of the club, 2003.
Inside of the neckline displays ‘More Than Football’ which is a phrase that the club lives by on and off the pitch, reflected in their unique announcement video showcasing members of the vastly diverse Adelaide community.
Adelaide United’s Head of Marketing and Communications, Marius Zanin, said: “We’re very excited to launch such a classic looking Adelaide United home shirt for the upcoming season.
“We believe this design balances perfectly between a reflection of the past and consideration of the future while paying homage to the State of South Australia.
“UCAN’s ability to effectively manufacture any kit we conceptualise sets us apart from other clubs in the league and, despite such a classic looking design, this is personified by the Swainsona Formosa lining the sides of the shirts.
“Our inaugural season aligned with UCAN was such a positive introduction to their kit customisation and that’s been reaffirmed this year.”
UCAN Global General Manager Ally Zhao stated her excitement in working with Adelaide United once more, being their second season in partnership together.
“Once again working with the Adelaide United marketing and design team was an extremely collaborative and creative process.
“We’re really happy with the outcome following lots of consultation and sharing of ideas.
“I’m really excited with the new jersey and I’m sure Reds fans will be delighted with the final product for this home kit as well.”
