After ten seasons of existence, the Wanderers have unveiled their new badge which incorporates the original elements of their crest, but features new characteristics.
The black ring is extended to highlight the growth the club has seen over its nine seasons to date where the gold ring signifies the first decade and the Wanderers’ Asian Champions League victory in 2014.
The years “2012 – 2022” and the wording “Season 10” commemorate this milestone for the club.
Western Sydney Wanderers CEO John Tsatsimas discussed the importance and significance of the club’s 10th season badge.
“Having been at the club since its inception in 2012 and seeing how much it has grown, it is incredible to see that we are now at a point where we are celebrating our 10th season as a club representing the people and region of Western Sydney,” said Tsatsimas.
“In addition to the signings already made this season, we are set to be a big few weeks here at our Centre of Football with further player announcements to be made from both our A-League and W-League teams as well as a number of new initiatives in the community.
“We now look forward to building up our pre-season preparations with the majority of our A-League squad returning to training this week under strict NSW Health protocols, which kickstarts their Season 10 journey.”
