Gabriel Cleur has signed a three-year deal with the Western Sydney Wanderers, returning to Australia after spending more than half a decade in Italy with Virtus Entella.
“I was actually part of the Wanderers Youth League squad back in the day before I left to go overseas. It was at the time of the Asian Champions League and domestic league success so I have always have this impression and view of the Wanderers being one of the biggest teams in Australia,” Cleur said.
Sydney FC have announced the re-signing of striker Patrick Wood, beating the Perth Glory to his signature.

The Western Sydney Wanderers have announced the signing of Oliver Bozanic on a two-year deal.
The former Socceroo started his career at Parramatta Eagles and Blacktown City and is set to play his tenth season in the A-League Men after playing for the likes of Central Coast, Melbourne Victory and Melbourne City.
“I haven’t spent much time in Western Sydney since then (junior representative football days), but it has changed a lot. It’s great to see a facility like Wanderers Football Park in this area. It’s the best facility I’ve seen in a long time so I’m looking forward to getting started here” Oli said.

Brandon O’Neill has been granted an early release from his contract at the Perth Glory due to family reasons and a belief that he cannot perform to the best of his abilities at the Glory (Source: Perth Glory).
In his place, Socceroos midfielder Mustafa Amini has been signed to a three-year deal.
Daniel Margush has re-signed with the Western Sydney Wanderers for two seasons (Source: Western Sydney Wanderers).
“Last season definitely had its highs and lows but that’s always going to be part of football. You have to remain level headed throughout and not get too carried away” Margush said.

The Melbourne Victory have announced the signings of George Timotheou and Noah Smith on free transfers.
Timotheou arrives from Adelaide United, with Smith, also a former Adelaide United player arriving from the Central Coast Mariners.
“I’m thrilled to be joining Melbourne Victory and can’t wait to get started,” Timotheou said.
“I’ve followed the team’s progress over the past season and I’m looking forward to contributing to the Club’s journey to success next season.”
“I’m excited to be joining a Club like Melbourne Victory and giving my all for the loyal members and fans of the Club,” Smith said.
“The team has built an impressive defensive unit and I’m looking forward to joining it and playing an important role coming into the new season.”

Brisbane Roar are said to have enquired about the status of current Manchester City winger Daniel Arzani.
During his time in Europe, Arzani has had relatively unsuccessful loan spells with Celtic, AGF, Utrecht and Lommel SK following his breakout season with Melbourne City in the 2017/18 season.

The switch has been made! Sydney FC 2020/21 breakout star Calem Nieuwenhof has signed for the Western Sydney Wanderers on a two-year scholarship deal.
He played a total of 15 games for Sydney FC over the course of two years with the senior team in all competitions.
“Looking over, I’ve always seen the Wanderers as a great club and one of the biggest in Australia,” said Nieuwenhof.
“I was really excited to come here and I was looking for a change of scenery, a new environment and I think this is one I can thrive in.
“One of the key characteristics of the Wanderers is passion, all the way from the fan base to the playing team. Football is different out here in the West, there’s so many young players coming through the ranks and it’s the home of football.

Stefan Colakovski has departed Melbourne City after seven years at the club
The Central Coast Mariners have also announced the release of several players including Oli Bozanic and Lewis Miller.

Following the news of Ninkovic’s departure multiple pieces of information have come to light.
This morning, former The Australian journalist Ray Gatt tweeted the following;
Sydney FC released a statement on the matter at 9:30am;
“At this point in time, Sydney FC can share the following information in regard to the latest on Milos Ninkovic.
In the late hours of yesterday evening, club legend Milos Ninkovic posted on his social platforms in regard to the current state of his contract negotiations with the club.
Milos is a legend of our club and we are continuing discussions with him about his future.
We will keep everyone updated in the coming days.”
Lastly, Twitter user @scout_aussie detailed the contract negotiations between Ninkovic and Sydney FC, including details on the club he may end up at next.
The Wanderers themselves also announced the signing of former Newcastle United and Ligue 1 midfielder Romain Amalfitano for the upcoming A-League Men season.
“I wanted to discover another league and a new culture for my family. I had spoken to head coach Mark Rudan on the phone and he convinced me to come to Western Sydney because he has ambitions for the club and for the fans,” Amalfitano said.

Sydney FC Milos Ninkovic has announced his departure from the club via Instagram in a fairly shocking turn of events over the past few weeks.
Below is the statement from his Instagram page:
“Hi everyone,
I have an important announcement to make and I feel my fans/followers should be the first ones to know as our loyalty is to each other and to the great game of football that we all love …..
With great disappointment I will no longer be playing in the colors where you are most familiar with me and the club with whom I’ve achieved many victories.
My young family grew up in Sydney and we love the life we made here.
My decision doesn’t come lightly, my hand was forced so to speak, but it had to be made as my integrity is most important for me and the sport that I’ve dedicated most of my life to so far.
I totally understand that Sydney FC is moving in another direction and has a different vision moving forward.
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Sydney FC for all the support they gave me over the years and for the memories that we made together.
Having said that, it’s far from over, there is still a lot of passion in me and I hope to continue to play, however at this point in time I will have to explore some other opportunities and options.
I hope you all stay well, thank you all for years of support , and I am looking forward to seeing you in the new season wherever that may be but with the same excitement you help me bring to each and every game.
