The A-League off-season is still in action with the spotlight placed on A-League’s youth sides still playing in the NPL
With the current COVID situation in NSW and Victoria, and no NPL action in Western Australia there was only be two A-League sides in the NPL action this weekend

Adelaide United
NPL: affiliate: Adelaide United (NPL SA)
Position: 4th
This weekend: Adelaide United v Croydon Kings, Saturday July 17 2:30pm, Jack Smith Park
Adelaide have gone the past three games unbeaten, having been held to a 2-2 draw against second bottom side Croydon Kings.
Forward Binyam Kebede was amoungst the goal scorers once again, scoring the opening goal of the game in the 14th minute.
Level 1-1 at halftime, United would go ahead again in the second half, scoring in the 53rd minute.
Teenage Midfielder Nestor Irankunda was the scorer, making it two goals from two NPL appearances.
Brisbane Roar
NPL affiliate: Brisbane Roar (NPL Queensland)
Position: 2nd
This weekend: Brisbane Roar v Brisbane Strikers, Sunday July 18 6:00pm, Perry Park
Brisbane have made it three wins in a row, this week defeating bottom of the table Brisbane Strikers 2-0.
It was the 19-year-old striker Cyrus Dehmie who score the opening goal, breaking the deadlock in the 34th minute.
Ahead 1-0 at halftime, the Roar would seal the game in stoppage time of the second half.
Substitute Lochlan Johnston, coming on to double the Roar’s advantage late.
