A number of Australians plying their trade in the lower leagues of England are in the hat for the first round proper of the FA Cup.
Earlier this month, Sydney-born Callum Kealy scored a decisive goal in the third qualifying round to send Dorking Wanderers into the fourth qualifying round for the first time in their history.
The 23-year-old was able to make an impact of the bench in this weekend’s tie with Hayes & Yeading, playing the last 15 minutes of a 2-2 draw.
Should Dorking win the replay, they will face Dean Bouzanis’ Sutton United, as the EFL League Two club joins the competition in the first round proper.
Robert Paratore’s Corinthian-Casuals FC were pegged back with the last kick of the game in their fourth qualifying round tie with St Albans City.
The amateur club were unlucky to concede with City’s first and only shot on target, coming in the 94th minute.
The reward for the winner of the replay is a home tie against League Two leaders Forest Green Rovers.
19-year-old defender Noah Stokes is now on the books of Pontefract Collieries, and the Yorkshire side also will require a replay to reach the first round, after a 0-0 draw with FC Halifax Town.
They could face National League side Maidenhead United if they are able to overcome Town in the replay.
Jacob Chapman kept a clean sheet for Gateshead FC in a 0-0 draw with eighth-tier outfit Marske United, and a win in their replay would secure a tie with National League side Altrincham.
All replays will be played on Tuesday night, with first round ties to be played between 5-8th November.
