The Kairos Academy have developed an online course for young soccer players designed to improve their skills through the knowledge of Coach Christian Donaire, a Spanish UEFA Pro Coach based in Barcelona. His ideology and teachings on the fundamentals of soccer has led players to play professionally in LaLiga and the FIFA World Cup, State and National Championship Level and as well gain College Scholarships.
It all began with a father who wanted the best for their son who began playing at a very young age and was trying to find ways to elevate their child’s game to the next level. After coming across a thread from an American parent where their child had been scouted by FC Barcelona’s youth side and saw that they were organising exclusive small groups to train in Spain with Coach Christian, the father not only wanted to improve his son’s skillset but the local talent he knew in his area.
After Coach Christian and the father came into contact, a one-week intensive training camp was created for a group of players of all ages. The sessions were solely focused on the fundamentals and how crucial they can be when utilised in an in-game environment. Donaire was teaching “why” you do certain actions at certain times. These concepts Coach Christian was teaching seemed so simple and yet no one in the area had even heard of them.
Once Christian returned back to Spain, him and the father began working together developing the online course so Christian would be able to coach and teach these young players remotely. Christian would create a coaching and a learning program from Barcelona which was delivered by the father. They would discuss and collaborate on how the training sessions went and find ways to improve in the following weeks.
This would continue for two years where the pair would spend thousands of hours creating an online course to help youth soccer players not only in a specific area but around the world. Both Coach Christian and the father wanted the online course to teach about the “individual, positional and team fundamentals and concepts” which have been used by top players, clubs and countries around the world.
Christian Donaire has helped out many young players around the world; from Spain, to the U.S, to Sweden. Donaire’s coaching techniques have seen rapid improvements to their game and would recommend to other young players aspiring to get to the next level.
Japanese international and Real Sociedad winger Takefusa Kubo said “With Christian Donaire I could learn many game fundamentals and bring them to the field.”
Club Brugge forward Ferran Jutglà who came from Barcelona’s La Masia youth academy said “Christian helped me to take the next step in my career. His fundamentals allowed me to take advantage of my strengths and see football in a better way. I am a more complete player and I recommend that you learn everything you can from Christian.”
