The A-Leagues have announced that non-bank lender Liberty will be the first naming rights partner of the A-League Women’s.
The league will be named The Liberty A-League, joining the Isuzu UTE A-League as the two new naming rights sponsors for the leagues after Westfield and Hyundai.
It will be a multi-year deal that commences on the 1st of December 2021 where they will be the official Lending Partner of the A-Leagues and they will also be an official partner of the A-League Men’s, A-League Youth and A-League eSports.
A-Leagues Managing Director Danny Townsend, when speaking on the announcement said:
“The A-Leagues is proud and excited to welcome Liberty as a new naming rights partner. The team shares our passion for football, for diversity and for empowering women to pursue their dreams.
“We have seen a significantly expanding interest in women’s football – from grassroots through to the Matildas. By investing in women’s professional football through Liberty A-League, we offer more pathways for emerging players, ensuring our world-class competition is truly sustainable”.
Liberty CEO James Boyle expressed his excitement at the new era for the women’s game.

“As a pioneer of financial inclusion, we support those who forge their own path, both on and off the field. The athletes currently playing in the Liberty A-League embody this spirit – they are the trailblazers at the top of their game.”
Additionally, this Friday the 3rd of December the A-League Women’s will kick off alongside the unification of both Facebook and Instagram channels.
